Known for its family-friendly slopes, wide-open runs, sleek chairlifts, Park City Mountain Resort creates a vacation to remember. The array of accommodations and dining in the historic mining town at its base enables PCRM to satisfy any need from convention to get-away.
The mostly intermediate mountain is spread over 3,300 acres, seven peaks and nine bowls. Snowboarders and freeskiers gravitate to PCMR's two world-class terrain parks. You can see the Kings Crown jumps from town. They're massive. Three Kings is lit up for night action. The medium-sized The Ridge opened in 2010 to attract those looking to hone their park skills on smaller jumps, rails and funboxes. Halfpipe fans can huck where the U.S. men's team stole the show in the Eagle SuperPipe. If you want bumps, Park City has the longest, most consistent moguls in town.
Getting to Park City is an easy 36-mile drive from Salt Lake International Airport through scenic Parley's Canyon. The Park City resort is out to prove its accessibility. Take advantage of the Quickstart promotion and book a morning flight into Salt Lake International. Take your boarding pass and a voucher downloaded from parkcityinfo.com for a free, same-day lift pass at either The Canyons, PCMR or Deer Valley Resort. Book a shuttle ride from the airport and skip the rental car. Free public transportation around town makes commuting easy.
The Legacy Lodge at the base offers in-town convention facilities, a cafeteria, rental shop, retail store, coffeebar, and sitdown bar and grill. On mountain there are 16 lifts, ski school, alpine coaster, three cafeterias, an afternoon pizza bar and coffee hut. Check out the Corner Store, The Pig Pen, Baja Cantina or the Legacy Bar for apres.
Open 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Thanksgiving- mid-April; 9 a.m.- 9 p.m. Christmas - end of March. Park City Ski Resort is also open for summer activities.
